The Institutional Review Board operated by the Japanese Association for the Promotion of State of the Art in Medicine (JAPSAM-IRB) is a third-party IRB that differs from conventional IRBs established within medical institutions. We can also undertake comprehensive reviews for multi-center clinical trials.

Characteristics of JAPSAM-IRB

1. As a third-party organization, we conduct fair, neutral and transparent reviews
2. Regular review committee meetings are held (in principle, once a month)
3. Efficient and prompt response through standardization of various review documents, simplification of review procedures and centralized management
4. Undertakes review cases for a variety of disease areas
5. Committee reviews composed of members with a wide range of expertise
